About: Periodic Time 2
Names Of Months
The names of the months in English come from Latin words. The traditional concept arose with the cycle of moon phases; such as months last - 29.53 days. From excavated tally sticks, researchers have deduced that people counted days in relation to the Moon's phases as early as the Paleolithic age.
-JANUARY-
Januarius - this month is dedicated to Janus, the Roman god of doors. Janus has two faces, one looking back at the old year and the other looking forward to the next year.
-FEBRUARY-
Februarius - Februa was the Roman purification festival, which took place at this time of the year.
-MARCH-
Martius - from Mars, the Roman god of war.
-APRIL-
Aprilis - from aperire, latin for open, because plants begin to open this during month.
-MAY-
Maius - probably comes from Maia, the Roman Goddes of growth and increase.
-JUNE-
Junius - either from a Roman family name Junius, means young, or perhaps after the goddess Juno.
-JULY-
Julius - after Julius Ceasar. This month was named in Ceasar's honour by Mark Anthony in 44BC.
Previously this month was called Quintilis from the word Quintus, five, as it was the fifth month in the Roman calendar.
-AUGUST-
Augustus - named in 8 BC in honour of Emperor Augustus.
-SEPTEMBER-
September - from septem, seven, because it was the seventh month in the Roman calendar.
-OCTOBER-
October - from octo, eight, (as in octopus, which has eight legs), the eight month in the Roman calendar.

November - from novem, nine, the ninth month in the Roman calendar.

Hog-mongous Bigger Than Hogzilla?

Stone's father says the hog weighed a staggering 476.73kg and measured 2.74m from the tip of its snout to the base of tail. What Is Computer For Without Internet?
Heto na naman ako sa harap ng computer ko, wala naman akong maisipang gawin o di kaya’y mag-internet lang buong oras. Tinatamad ako ngayon mag play ng games sa computer. Open ko kaya ang Microsoft Word, ano naman kaya ang i-type ko?
Tula…? Kuwento…? Antok na nga ako sa kakaisip pero ayaw ko pa rin i-close ang computer ko.
Ang totoo talaga, alas tres pa (ng umaga) ang tulog ko. Yan ang oras ng tulog ko kase nga may oras din ang gising ko sa umaga. Bilang ko ng lima hanggang anim na oras ang tulog ko. Sa loob ng limang oras na tulog e nagigising na ako ng kusa, ‘nauuna pa nga ako sa alarm ko’, tapos humihirit pa ako ng isang oras- ‘pero bihira lang yun hehehe’.
Nung una’y wala akong internet connection, puro lang ako edit ng mga pictures, or magcollect ng mga songs at makinig, or madalas nalilibang ako sa paggawa ng video clips using the windows movie maker and some games.
Pero ngayon, may internet na ako at ngayon ko lang na-realized na totoo pala ang sabi ng iba na “what is the use of computer without internet connection?” Since na nag-connect ako, I fells I connected to the whole world and I’m not alone anymore in my room. I can able to talk with my friends via chatting. And how wonderful that computer technology brings today, akalain mo, natagpuan ko kung saang lupalop ng mundo naroon ang mga friends kong matagal ko nang di nakikita, in fact, di ko na inisip na makikita ko pa sila ulit. But by today’s technology I have found them through internet.
Thanks for the people who invented this computer and internet. It’s a BIG help.

Nawawala ang pagod ko lalo’t kapag nalaman kong may nagbabasa rin pala ng mga kabaliwan ko sa blogs. Daig ko pa ngayon ang “ADIK” sa computer. Boring ang isang araw ko kapag hindi ako nakaharap sa computer, OMG!
Ok, marami na pala akong nasabi eh, kanina lang wala akong maisipang gawin, katapos ko lang kase mag post sa mga blogsites ko, tulog na rin mga ka-chat ko.

A Man & A Dog: Million Words & Colors
This picture express a million words between a man and a dog. And it creates million colors behind their life.
Friendship defines closeness between two or more persons. But whether you believe it or not, friendships may end up at no reasons.
Friendship between a man and animal (like dog, cat...) is deeply defined forever closeness and it's proven by many pet lovers.
Example of a dog in your house, how much the way you treat them, they will stay at your side and care for you all the time.
As I stare this picture, I remember Bart, name of our family's dog. A black-haired male dog. He is a friendly dog. He knows the time when I wake up in the morning and he always go walking along with me. He walk ahead of me and smell the path to make sure that I am safe to walk leading to which way I'm going through.
Even though a couple of years I never see him, then he was so happy when I'm home. He still know me. The last time I was gone away and returned home, there was no Bart around, never heard his bark. Then I asked my mother, "Where is Bart?" Then my mother told me that he was disappeared without reason. Bart had just went around the neighbors and never came back and no report for details how he disappeared.
I feel so sad and pity with him. Until this time I missed him, oh poor dog.
"Love your pet as they love you back more than their life..."

Summer of May, "may yelo?"
Buwan ng Mayo. Usapin ukol sa mga Manggagawa, Summer Feasr, Tag-nit, Bakasyon sa eskuwela, Flores de Mayo, Piyesta ng mga Baranggay, Beach Camping/Outing, ilan lamang ang mga 'yan sa mga pinagkaka-abalahan sa tuwing sasapit ang Mayo ng mga Pinoy.
Itong buwan ang pinaka-busy kaysa sa Christmas seasons dahil sa dami ng events. At dahilan din sa tindi ng init na dala ng panahong ngayon ay tiyak na maiisip mong mag-out of town, ang iba'y nagtutungo sa mga malalamig na lugar sa ibang bansa o karamihan ay nagbababad sa mga malls, resorts, beaches, at malamig na tubig ng ilog.
Pero mayroon akong kakilala na ayaw niyang lumabas ng bahay kahit sa kainitan ng panahon. alam n'yo ba kung saan lang siya nagbababad?
Sa loob lang ng kanyang kuwarto. Walang aircon at isang maliit na binta lang ang tanging dinadaanan ng hangin. At sa panahong mainit ay gumagawa siya ng yelo o nag-iistak sa ref at bago siya matulog ay ibinubuhos niya lahat sa malaking BATYA at hahaluan ng konting tubig at doo'y lulubog siya na parang isdang may yelo. Hehehe...totoo po, dangan nga lang at di ko siya nakunan ng larawan. Marahil ay ganyan ang kanyang paraan kung paano i-beat ang INIT.
Sa mga bakasyonista, konting ingat lang po sa mga lugar na inyong pupuntahan lalot't hindi kayo sanay sa lugar.
Ganun pa man, Enjoy this May Summer...
Hahahaha...Sarap ng tubig na may yelo..!

Para Sa Lahat Ng Nanay...
Isang napakaganda at masayang bakasyon po sa buwan ng Mayo ang bati ko sa lahat ng mga Mothers. Para sa inyo po ang dakilang araw na ito. Mahal na mahal po namin kayo.
NANAY
Siyam na buwan mo akong dinala sa iyong sinapupunan
Siyam na buwan mong inasam-asam na masilayan kung kamukha mo nga ba ako o kahawig ng tatay ko
Wala pa man ako sa mundong ito
Ay pinaplano mo na kung paano mo ako aalagaan at bibigyan ng magandang kinabukasan
Nanay na nagluwal. Napupuyat sa pagtimpla ng gatas. Oras-oras, minu-minuto ay dinadama ang likuran ko kung basa ng pawis dahil takot kang magkasakit ako.
Kahit makulit at malikot ako ay ibinibigay mo lahat ng gusto ko dahil ayaw mong maging malungkot ako.

Healthy Borwn Rice
Marami sa sa ating mga Pinoy ang nakakaalam tungkol sa Brown Rice, pero marami din sa atin ang kulang ang kaalaman tungkol dito. Sinasabi ng mga dalubhasa na ang Brown Rice ay nangunguna sa nutritional value kung ikumpara sa White Rice na kinamulatan na nating isaing.
Ako man ay kailan kong nalaman ang kahalagahan nito sa ating kalusugan. Napakayaman pala nito sa fiber na tumutulong sa pagcontrol ng calories at cholesterol. At ayon pa sa mga gumagamit nito ay tumutulong din ito sa pagcontrol ng blood pressure. Mainam at mayaman sa nutrisyon ang White Rice pero mas higit ang daming nutrisyon ang makukuha sa Brown Rice.
Paano nga ba ito iluto at kainin?
Ang kaibahan nito sa pagsasaing kung ikumpara sa White Rice, mas mahabang oras ang kailangan sa Brown Rice. Maaaring mapabilis ito kung ibabad ito sa tubig mula 30 minuto - 1 oras.
Kung sanay kang kumain ng White Rice ay medyo maninibago ka sa pagkain ng Brown rice. May kakaibang amoy at lasa ito na di mo kagigiliwan hanggat't masanay ka rito. Ngunit may mga paraan din kung paano mo ito kagiliwan. Tulad halimbawa ng pagdagdag dito ng ilang ingredients, sa sinangag, lugaw o kakanin. Maaari ding ihalo ito sa mga ulam na may sauce.
Pero ako, kapag kumakain nito ay hindi ko iniisip ang kung ano man ang maging lasa nito, mahalagang isipin ko ay ang mga nutrisyon na makukuha ko mula sa Brown Rice.
Sa atin sa Pilipinas ay may mga bigasan nagbebenta nito, medyo may kamahalan nga lang sa karaniwang White Rice. Pero may mas mahal pa ba sa pag-iingat ng kalusugan natin?

Another Electric-Powered Mini Car
Heto na naman ang isa sa ilang bagong imbentong sasakyan na electric-powered na inilunsad dun sa New York, ang 2009 New York International Auto Show. It is something about PUMA or Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility.
PUMA is a joint project between Segway and General Motors.
It is a two-seat, lithium-battery-powered transportation pod. Capable of reaching 56kph and going 56km between charges.
Ang maganda pa rito, the PUMA pod would be equipped with transponders to help it behave much in the manner of pedestrians on crowded New York streets - they seem to automatically sense one another's space and avoid intrusion or collision.
The PUMA pod, initially expected to be sold to test-bed communities, such as college campuses.

Pag Pumuti Ang Uwak...
I found this image at the pages of Malaysia newspaper and I tear it out to share with you.
May naalala kase ako sa crow na ito. It is my first time to see a white crow o kung tawgin sila ay "Albino Crow". Usually, puro itim kase ang nakikita ko noon.
Nanliligaw ako noong binatilyo pa lang ako sa aming probinsiya. Inabot ko pa ang mga babaeng "pakipot" kung tawagin, hehehe...
Sabi niya, "Pakakasal lang ako sa 'yo kung puputi na ang uwak!"
Wow! Bigat Pare! Puputi kaya 'yun?
And then, here it is! May puti nga palang uwak dito sa bahagi ng Malaysia.
Lagot siya sa akin. Pero sayang, huli na...hehehe...
Dagdag pa, alam n'yo bang dito sa Malaysia ay naglipana ang mga uwak sa kampong at siyudad?
Malayang lumulipad ang mga uwak kahit sa gitna ng tarpiko, walang gumagalaw sa kanila. Katunayan nga, sa 11th floor na tinitirahan ko ay mga huni ng uwak ang alarm ko sa umaga.
Amazing di ba? Uwaaaakk...uwaaakk...uwaaakk...
